Smart compensation

All the configuration was made by Business Intelligence* (BI) specialists at Visier.

With the creation of a new product, Smart compensation, we had to find a way to load, translate the data if needed, an interface that would be simple and quick to configure by the user.

How do we make the configuration simple for a non technical persona?

Phase 1
The product manager wanted to launch a MVP in 6 months, the focus was on the compensation and budget interfaces. The company decided to load the data through Studio to avoid complimentary developments.
- Understand the data loading flow and all the configuration made by a BI specialist
- Propose a solution that enables the new solution as a plug-in/module.

Phase 2
The design manager wanted a new flow to import the data in both Studio and the compensation app.
- Having an interface to link quickly third-party applications
- Review the data loaded
- Being able to translate the data

Leading the configuration

Timeline: 8 weeks (2+6)

Understanding and updating

HR: the new persona

The idea of having presets and a default configuration came naturally for a non technical user.
Having something ready to run after few clicks with the possibility to get more advanced options.

It was decided to put the configuration into the compensation app instead of having the same model User app (Visier People) vs. Admin app (Studio).

Next? Single configuration and marketplace

Some settings were made in the customer page, some in their project used for Visier people.
The idea was to bring all data and security settings at the customer page level so they can set up them once and use them for different applications in the future.
